Helpful information About Treatment
We believe the most meaningful therapeutic work happens in person, where the connection and energy of the session can be most fully experienced. For this reason, we strongly encourage women to come into the office whenever possible.
Telehealth sessions are available in certain situations:
With Dr. Parden: Virtual visits may be offered for established patients when appropriate, particularly for medication management or coaching sessions. Coaching is available across state lines for women who are not seeking psychiatric treatment but would like support in their wellness journey.
With Rose Ford, LPC: While virtual visits may be considered on occasion, most therapy sessions are best held in person to preserve the depth and connection that in-person work allows.
Please note: Synchronicity Psychiatry & Therapy serves adult women only.
Working with a Psychiatrist & Therapist
Many women choose to work with both a psychiatrist and a therapist. Traditionally, psychiatrists focus primarily on medication management, while therapy is provided elsewhere. At Synchronicity Psychiatry & Therapy, however, Dr. Parden offers a robust psychotherapy practice in addition to medication management.
Some women enjoy working with both Dr. Parden and Rose Ford, LPC, benefitting from the unique strengths and therapeutic strategies that each brings. Others prefer to combine psychiatric care with an outside therapist. In these cases, Dr. Parden collaborates closely with the patient’s therapist to ensure alignment and continuity of care.
Through this collaborative model, we support women in moving through places of emotional or therapeutic stagnation while honoring the strengths of every clinician involved. Ultimately, each woman has the freedom to choose what combination of care feels best for her.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
Dr. Parden offers Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for women who may benefit from this innovative treatment. KAP combines the use of ketamine with psychotherapy in a safe and supportive environment, allowing patients to access emotions, insights, and self-awareness that may otherwise feel blocked.
Important details about KAP at our practice:
In-office only: Ketamine is prescribed and administered only within our office walls. We do not prescribe ketamine for at-home use or for use in therapy sessions led by other providers.
Supervised treatment: Every KAP session is guided in person by Dr. Parden. We do not offer unsupervised ketamine treatment. The therapeutic relationship is central to the process, and research, as well as our own experience, shows that outcomes are significantly better when ketamine is combined with psychotherapy rather than given alone.
Session structure: Sessions last approximately 2–2.5 hours. The fee is $580, reflecting the time spent with Dr. Parden, who remains with you throughout the entire session. Medication costs range from $10–$70 depending on dose and formulation and may be covered by insurance. The therapy portion of KAP, like all sessions here, is not covered by insurance but may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement.
Provider expertise: Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy requires a well-trained and attuned provider who can help maximize the therapeutic benefit of the altered state of consciousness. Dr. Parden has extensive training and experience in this area and is committed to ensuring the process is safe, ethical, and effective.
If you are interested in exploring whether KAP may be right for you, you must first be an established patient. Please request an appointment through the patient portal to begin this conversation.

Emergencies & Crisis Care
We are not able to provide walk-in, urgent, or emergency services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 988, go to your nearest emergency room, or call 911. You can also contact the Louisiana Crisis Line at 1-866-310-7977 for immediate support.
Medication Refills
All medication refill requests must be submitted through the patient portal. Please review the patient consent form you signed for more details on refill policies, including when an appointment is required and if/when a fee may apply for refills outside of visits.
Inactive Patients
Because we are a micropractice with a small patient panel, we periodically dismiss inactive patients to make room for women actively engaged in care. If you have not been seen for follow-up in the recommended timeframe, you may need to re-establish care before scheduling again.
